Montana based public accounting firm in business since the 1940’s with 7 locations throughout the state is looking to add a Tax Accountant to any branch location.  Branches are located in Bozeman, Great Falls, Hamilton, Helena, Missoula, Kalispell, and Whitefish. Tax Manager will be technically competent with expert knowledge and experience in one or more specialties as well as a team leader. 

Responsibilities:
  • While maintaining strict confidentiality of information, actively seek complex, specialized accounting projects from other professional staff
  • Establish additional responsibilities in specific areas of accounting interest, for example, budgets, investments, and information systems to become certified / licensed in those areas
  • Delegate, supervise, and review more complex tax / audit, accounting and other functions to other staff, and take responsibility for quality control issues
  • Use technical competence and expertise to serve on committees and lead teams
  • Comply with established work hours, scheduling billable time expectations
  • Complete tax returns under review of a manager or shareholder
  • Provide ways to provide additional services to existing clients while adding value to the customers’ experience as possible
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Licensed CPA
