A locally established café in Columbia Falls, Montana, dedicated to providing high-quality beverages and fresh food in a welcoming community atmosphere is seeking a Line Cook to add to their team. This position is responsible for preparing menu items to order, rotating and stocking inventory, and supporting efficient daily operations. Team members rotate through prep, line, and dishwashing duties and assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Working closely with management and fellow staff, the Line Cook contributes to a positive, fast-paced environment focused on quality, teamwork, and exceptional service.
Why You Want This Position:
- Starting Wage: $17/hour and up depending on experience + tips
- Schedule: 4 day work week, ideally Sunday through Wednesday (32 to 39 hours)
- Hours of Operation: Monday through Sunday – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Prepare and plate menu items efficiently using standardized recipes and established procedures
- Operate kitchen tools and equipment safely while following proper food preparation techniques
- Maintain compliance with health, sanitation, labeling, temperature, and food safety standards
- Provide accurate order preparation and communicate menu information, ingredients, allergies, and modifications
- Monitor inventory levels, maintain product rotation, and stock ingredients and grab-and-go items
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff and manage ordering to meet customer demand while minimizing waste
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred, with willingness to learn
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable attendance with the ability to work scheduled shifts consistently
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and safely operate kitchen equipment and tools
- Required Sunday and Monday availability
