Machine Operator – 4-Day Workweek & 3-Day Weekends

$20 to $25/hour DOE | Multiple Shift Options | 3-Day Weekends

An innovative global company specializing in advanced materials engineering and manufacturing is looking for a hands-on Machine Operator to join its team. The company develops specialized equipment, technology, and services used in industries including electronics, displays, and clean energy.

Team members work with a variety of shop equipment and contribute directly to producing quality components while gaining experience across multiple areas of the operation.

Schedule Options
  • Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
  • Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate a variety of shop equipment, including CNC routers, lasers, water jets, mills, lathes, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to determine machining processes and select appropriate tools
  • Perform basic machining, fabrication, assembly, and repair using standard shop equipment and power tools
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Plan and nest parts efficiently to maximize material usage and minimize waste
  • Set up machines for moderately complex jobs and use basic trigonometry to calculate angles and machining requirements

What You’ll Bring
  • Approximately 2 years of related machining, manufacturing, fabrication, or production experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of machining processes, shop equipment, and manufacturing practices
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, drawings, and detailed instructions
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine issues, communicate effectively with coworkers, and work safely as part of a team
  • High school diploma or GED
