Head Cook 

A locally owned and operated all-inclusive ranch in the scenic Flathead Valley is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Cook. This unique property provides guests with more than just a vacation, it offers a deeply enriching and memorable experience. Staff members foster genuine connections with guests, fellow team members, the natural surroundings, and themselves. The ideal candidate will share these values and bring both culinary skills and leadership to the kitchen.

The Head Cook is responsible for providing a positive dining experience through delicious meal options in a timely manner.  They’ll also be responsible for the execution of day-to-day kitchen operations. This includes inventory management, organization, cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room and supervision of the other members of the kitchen team.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Lead, manage, and schedule the kitchen team while fostering a clean, safe, and compliant environment aligned with ServSafe and sanitary standards
  • Execute the approved menu and oversee all recipes to ensure consistently high food quality and presentation
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and cleaning, while accommodating guests with special dietary needs
  • Monitor guest and staff meal counts to prepare appropriate quantities, reduce food waste, and manage the use of leftovers
  • Manage inventory, order and procure food and kitchen supplies, and coordinate routine maintenance of appliances
  • Track kitchen expenses, maintain accurate records of receipts and invoices, and manage overall food cost efficiency

Qualifications:
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire at company expense
  • Ability to prioritize and organize details in a fast-paced environment
  • Good decision-making, strong leadership and communication skills
  • Maintain a presentable image in the kitchen and around guests
  • Ability to pass a background screening
