Essential Functions and Duties:
- Set up, configure, and test electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems to ensure tools are fully operational and meet customer specifications
- Configure firmware, establish communication between system components, and verify automated operation, safety features, and customer recipes
- Program and teach multi-axis robots for automated wafer handling and validate system functionality through comprehensive testing
- Troubleshoot equipment, electrical, mechanical, and software issues, escalating complex problems to engineering when necessary
- Document test results, non-conformances, audits, and daily production progress while supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a safe work environment by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, supporting team training, and contributing to process improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hardware integration, and establishing communication between PCs and equipment
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and automated system operation
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
