A locally owned retail store that is known for its friendly atmosphere, wide selection, and commitment to customer satisfaction is hiring an Evening Retail Associate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service while keeping store operations running smoothly. The Retail Associate is responsible for greeting customers, processing sales accurately and efficiently, maintaining clean and organized displays, and restocking shelves to ensure products are readily available.
Starting Wage: $20/hour
Schedule: Evenings – 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Includes weekends and holidays as needed
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Provide friendly customer service, answer questions, and recommend products
- Operate the register, handle transactions, and verify IDs in compliance with alcohol laws
- Restock shelves and coolers while maintaining proper inventory rotation
- Maintain a clean, organized store including sales floor and storage areas
- Assist with deliveries, unloading, and organizing back stock
- Support daily operations, including teamwork, loss prevention, and closing procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts consistently
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
