Seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Claims Specialist to guide policyholders through the claims process. This role manages claims from initial report through resolution while providing timely, accurate, and knowledgeable support. The ideal candidate builds positive relationships with policyholders, agents, adjusters, contractors, and internal teams.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Review, establish, and maintain accurate claim files
- Assign claims to adjusters and coordinate communication throughout the process
- Review reports and underwriting information to determine coverage
- Manage claim reserves, payments, and follow-up on open claims
- Research claim activity, trends, loss ratios, and agency results
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in ongoing training and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, empathetic approach
- Ability to handle sensitive or difficult conversations with care and professionalism
- Insurance or claims experience preferred, with sound judgment and willingness to learn
- Proficient with computers and able to learn insurance management software
- Montana Property & Casualty Insurance License or willingness to obtain
