A well-established local HVAC company providing heating, cooling, and indoor comfort solutions to residential and commercial customers is seeking an HVAC Installer. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values customer service, and is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and career in the HVAC industry.

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally. The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of HVAC service experience and is motivated to continue developing their technical skills.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Service furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, system start-ups, and operational testing
  • Identify worn or failing components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations professionally while providing excellent customer service
  • Complete service documentation accurately, maintain a clean vehicle and work area, and follow safety, code, and manufacturer requirements including scheduled on-call rotations

Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of HVAC service experience preferred
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing residential and light commercial HVAC equipment
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, gas heating equipment, electrical controls, airflow, and ventilation systems
  • EPA Section 608 Certification preferred
  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs, comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces and the ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
