Essential Functions and Duties:
- Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews while promoting a safe, productive, and positive work environment
- Plan daily operations by coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, trucking, and project schedules
- Oversee paving activities to ensure quality workmanship, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications
- Operate paving equipment as needed and resolve field challenges to keep projects on schedule
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout project execution
- Complete project documentation, conduct safety meetings and equipment inspections, and train and mentor crew members
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of asphalt paving experience, including leadership as a Foreman, Lead Operator, or Crew Leader
- Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and municipal paving operations, including blueprint reading and quality control
- Experience operating asphalt paving equipment and heavy machinery in a fast-paced construction environment
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work in varying outdoor conditions
- CDL and industry certifications (OSHA, Flagger, CPR/First Aid) preferred, along with experience in project scheduling, job costing, and production tracking
