Designer
Bozeman, MT

A growing luxury design and fabrication company in Bozeman is looking for a Designer to join its creative and production team. This company creates one-of-a-kind architectural pieces for high-end residential and commercial projects, including custom fireplaces, cabinetry, metalwork, elevator interiors, and other unique design elements.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong SolidWorks and technical drawing experience who enjoys solving problems, working with a variety of materials, and seeing their designs come to life in the shop and field.

Why You’ll Want This Job

  • $75,000–$80,000 starting salary, depending on experience
  • Work on unique custom projects rather than repetitive production designs
  • Collaborate directly with designers, fabricators, engineers, and project teams
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Occasional work-from-home flexibility

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create detailed 3D models and shop drawings in SolidWorks
  • Turn design concepts into accurate, fabrication-ready drawings
  • Develop drawings for custom architectural and fabricated components
  • Review dimensions, materials, hardware, and construction details
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, project managers, and production teams
  • Make drawing revisions based on shop feedback and field conditions
  • Help identify potential design or fabrication issues before they reach production
  • Support projects from initial design through fabrication and installation

What We’re Looking For

  • SolidWorks proficiency is required
  • Experience creating detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, or production drawings
  • Ability to take a concept and develop it into something that can be manufactured or fabricated
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with both creative and production teams
