Steel Warehouse Workers

This position plays a key role in daily operations by assisting customers, handling and preparing materials for processing, and supporting the flow of product through the facility. Responsibilities also include general maintenance, clean-up, and stocking to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
 

• Starting Wage: $20/hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

• Assist customers with steel orders, including pulling, processing, and loading materials accurately and efficiently
• Operate a variety of shop equipment and machinery such as saws, shears, forklifts, and overhead cranes
• Move, band, package, and stage materials safely for processing, storage, and shipment
• Complete required paperwork, inventory checks, and machine inspections accurately
• Follow all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support team members, training, and daily operations

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on accuracy and responsiveness
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety for self and others
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for processing and order accuracy
• Willingness to learn machine operation and steel warehouse procedures
• Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
