We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SQL Report Writer/Analyst to collaborate with internal stakeholders across this company. In this role, you will be responsible for building and automating reports, dashboards, and customer correspondence templates. You will also work closely with internal teams to identify optimal data fields, design report layouts, and improve reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SQL, report development tools, and data visualization, along with the ability to communicate insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Salary: $105,000
Schedule: Full-time – 9-month contract
Location: Missoula, MT (in office/hybrid with remote options)
Qualifications:
- College Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business administration, or related field in the absence of equivalent work experience
- 4-5 years of experience as a SQL Report Writer/Analysts, or similar role within the medical insurance or healthcare industry. Hands-on experience with reporting tools and visual studio (e.g., SSRS, BOLD reports, Power BI). High proficiency with SQL and database management. Proven analytical abilities. Experience in generating process documentation and reports. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in T-SQL with strong Query Performance Optimization skills
- Hands-on experience with SSRS at an advanced level
- Working knowledge of programming concepts and languages (MySQL, C#, Transact-SQL, Python, .NET)
- Strong understanding of Microsoft applications, including Visio
- Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate user testing
- Extensive experience with data visualization and presenting insights clearly
- Experience with SSIS and working with diverse data sources preferred
