Service Technician

A local, longstanding, family owned and operated business in the Flathead Valley is looking for a Service Technician to join their team. This company is looking for team members who want to join a positive work force aligning their ethical values with people who are proud of the work and service they provide. They train their team to be the best in the business showing respect for their customers, employees, and the environment.

If you have HVAC/R experience are organized and work well independently and as a team this is a great opportunity. This company is also willing to train the right person who has construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades experience. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of equipment in clients' facilities. 

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wage:  $25 to $45/hour depending on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Provide answers to client’s questions and clearly communicate information on the installation or repair of equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and develop solutions to resolve them
  • Install and commission new equipment in client facilities
  • Train and mentor junior service technicians and provide technical support to customers
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain truck or van and keep stocked with supplies and parts for repairs

Qualifications:
  • Ideally 2+ years experience in HVAC/R and Universal/EPA Certification
  • Brazing/soldering knowledge and solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic system
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must have a clean driving record
