A local, longstanding, family owned and operated business in the Flathead Valley is looking for a Service Technician to join their team. If you have HVAC/R experience are organized and work well independently and as a team this is a great opportunity. This company is also willing to train the right person who has construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades experience. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of equipment in clients' facilities.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wage: $25 to $45/hour depending on experience
Essential Functions:
- Provide answers to client’s questions and clearly communicate information on the installation or repair of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and develop solutions to resolve them
- Install and commission new equipment in client facilities
- Train and mentor junior service technicians and provide technical support to customers
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and equipment maintenance
- Maintain truck or van and keep stocked with supplies and parts for repairs
Qualifications:
- Ideally 2+ years experience in HVAC/R and Universal/EPA Certification
- Brazing/soldering knowledge and solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic system
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have a clean driving record
