This is not a regular auto mechanic position. We need your Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience, not just diesel mechanic. A local, long-time company here in the Flathead Valley is partnering with LC Staffing to hire a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Wage: $22 to $30/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities and skills:
- Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment i.e., excavators, dozers, telehandlers, backhoes, graders, etc.
- Maintain time and notes to track billable hours
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the machine to the customer
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to repair hydraulics, diagnostics and design, electrical diagnostics and repair, engine diagnostics and repair, transmission and drive train diagnostics and repair, attach a ripper or fix computers inside machines
- Weld, repair and fabricate buckets, brush grapples, thumbs, and the main frame of a machine, and the manufacturing of attachments
Requirements:
- Bring your own tools (as with most mechanic positions) but the shop has tools available for loaning on a short-term basis while you begin building your own supply quickly. If you are a heavy equipment mechanic, you understand the importance of quantity and quality of tools.
- Clean driving record, preferred
