An industry leader in logistics and delivery is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager in Kalispell, Montana. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and related reports. In addition, they will manage the entire accounts receivable process. This position is highly visible to customers and management and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, direct, and analyze.

  • Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000/year, depending on experience
  • Schedule: In office – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the AR department
  • Assist AR staff in researching and handling more complicated transactions and problems
  • Identify and implement improvement in accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Work with other departments to support business goals and initiatives
  • Provide leadership for assigned staff, including effective performance management, identification of training needs and development of training plans, and ensuring that policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed
  • Support the company’s initiatives, systems, and philosophies
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
  • Manage information requests during year-end audits and respond to requests for information during internal audits

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field
  • 7-10 years of financial statement preparation experience
  • Previous experience with complex data analysis, including data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize reporting efficiency and quality
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles (CPA a plus)
  • Proven experience in accounting management, including staff accountants, accounts receivable, credit and collections management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with financial system implementation
