A professional engineering firm in Missoula, Montana, is looking to add a Mid or Senior Level Mechanical Engineer to their growing team. This firm is a dynamic team of structural, mechanical, electrical and technology engineers that provides full spectrum building engineering solutions to clients throughout the Western United States.
The firm consults, designs, and innovates engineering solutions for clients of every size and Mechanical Engineer will lead projects and provide design expertise. The Mechanical Engineer can work remote or hybrid with a preference living in or near Salt Lake City, UT; Missoula, MT; or St. George, UT.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Lead and produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models for HVAC and Plumbing systems.
- Perform and evaluate all calculations required for design packages and verify codes.
- Lead and mentor the Mechanical Engineering staff with emphasis on employee growth, project success, and performance.
- Apply standard design techniques and procedures and exercised judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control.
- Work with Engineers, Designers, PMs and other Stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines (structural, electrical, architectural, etc) for design package needs.
- Perform field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
- Project management including client communication, schedule / budget management
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- Minimum 4 years as an EIT and 2 years as a PE
- Direct experience in Air-Side HVAC, Wet-Side HVAC, Plumbing systems, and Control systems
- AutoDESK Revit knowledge preferred
