The Line Cook will prepare quality menu items while supporting daily service, breakfast, dinner, banquets, weddings, and special events. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and able to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen.
Wage: Up to $25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Part-time, with shifts needed most days – primarily evening shifts for dinner service, with occasional morning shifts for breakfast and special events
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up, stock, and maintain prep and line stations for efficient service
- Assist with banquets, weddings, special events, and daily kitchen operations
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, including dish machine as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while following food safety standards
- Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams and assist with prep, cleaning, and other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hot line experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Strong cooking, food preparation, and knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
