Heavy Equipment Excavator Operator

A construction serving the Flathead Valley for many years is seeking Excavator Operators. With a strong history of shaping the region’s infrastructure including bridges, overpasses, highways, and building projects, the company has made a lasting, positive impact across the state.

This role involves safely operating excavators, performing routine equipment checks, and working with materials to meet production needs. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Safely and efficiently operate excavators to support daily operations
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Load and move materials according to production requirements
  • Develop knowledge of aggregate types, sizes, and weight specifications
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced setting
  • Follow all safety standards and work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:              
  • Skilled in operating excavators with at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience
  • Experience with rock crushers and screening equipment preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to work various shifts, overtime, and out-of-town assignments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
