The Facilities Specialist will support daily custodial operations at the dining center, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role will lead and support staff, coordinate cleaning priorities, manage supplies and equipment, and respond to cleaning needs as they arise. The ideal candidate has custodial and supervisory experience, strong knowledge of cleaning practices and chemicals, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Schedule: Full-time, year-round, typical schedule 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (can vary depending on needs)

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Train, supervise, and support temporary and student staff as needed
- Adjust daily tasks and priorities to cover staffing needs and special cleaning projects
- Clean and maintain the Lodge Dining Center to ensure a safe, sanitary environment
- Communicate with staff and students to address cleaning needs and resolve concerns
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain records, follow safety procedures, and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related cleaning experience, including custodial and/or supervisory experience
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safe chemical handling
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team and work effectively with others
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 80 lbs, pushing/pulling equipment, bending, reaching, and working on ladders and overhead
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
