Entry Level Equipment Operator 

A reputable local trucking and excavating company is seeking Operators to join their team. This position plays a key role in site development projects, including residential and light commercial work. The right candidate has hands-on experience with excavation equipment and a solid understanding of grading, trenching, and site prep operations.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain more experience and develop their career as an operator.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Operate excavators to perform tasks such as trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling
• Read and interpret site plans, utility markings, and grade stakes
• Work efficiently and safely around underground utilities and structures
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues Collaborate with foremen, laborers, and truck drivers to complete jobs on schedule
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols at all times

Qualifications:

• Experience with excavation equipment a plus
• Understanding of grading, trenching and site prep preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
