A locally owned and operated excavation company serving the Flathead Valley and surrounding areas is hiring an experienced Low Boy Driver. This company has a strong reputation for quality work, reliability, and integrity, specializing in residential and commercial site development. Services include earthwork, utility installation, grading, excavation, and road preparation. This is a hands-on position for a dependable driver who can safely and efficiently move heavy equipment between job sites with little to no assistance.
Wage: $25 to $30/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Operate low boy trailers to safely transport, load, secure, and unload heavy equipment with little to no assistance
- Safely maneuver oversized loads to and from residential, commercial, and rural job sites
- Complete pre and post-trip inspections and ensure proper load securement and trailer maintenance
- Operate water trucks, dump trucks, and rock haulers during downtime as needed
- Communicate with foremen and equipment operators to coordinate equipment moves and material hauling
- Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and job-site safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment independently Previous low boy and heavy equipment hauling experience required
- Experience operating dump trucks, water trucks, and/or rock haulers
- Ability to safely maneuver large trucks and trailers in varying job-site conditions and weather
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
