Hardware Sales Associates are responsible for creating a welcoming customer experience by greeting shoppers, identifying their needs, and providing prompt, friendly service. This role uses product knowledge and inventory awareness to help customers find the right materials and tools for their projects, ensuring they leave with everything they need while supporting high levels of customer satisfaction.
Why You Want This Position:
- Wage: Up to $20/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Full and Part-time Opportunities — Schedule may require weekend and evening hours
- Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Assist customers by identifying needs and recommending solutions
- Process sales, returns, and customer transactions accurately
- Promote sales, specials, and store products
- Direct customers to merchandise and yard pickup areas
- Stock inventory and maintain a clean, organized store
- Follow store policies while assisting with tasks such as key cutting, paint mixing, and loss prevention
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to assist customers with projects and product solutions
- Ability to safely operate power equipment, as needed
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and loading customer purchases
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
