Entry Level Welder

The role involves assisting with TIG, MIG, oxy-acetylene, and orbital welding using standard tools and automated equipment while following engineering drawings, work instructions, and documented procedures. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and preparing metal and precision tubing components, supporting the fabrication and alignment of structural and high-purity assemblies, and inspecting completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and cleanliness, and the ability to maintain organized work areas while meeting shop and contamination-control standards.

Wage: $18 to $21/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Thursday – 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. 3 Day Weekends!

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Assist with TIG, MIG, oxy-acetylene, and orbital welding operations using standard shop tools and automated equipment
  • Read and follow basic engineering drawings, work instructions, and documented procedures
  • Measure, cut, and prepare metal and tubing components for welded assemblies
  • Support fabrication and alignment of structural parts and high-purity precision tubing under guidance
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and consistency while maintaining repeatable processes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety and contamination-control standards (including clean room requirements)

Qualifications:
  • Understands how individual responsibilities contribute to team goals and coordinate effectively with other departments
  • Identifies and resolves common work-related issues independently, following established procedures
  • Comfortable with extended standing and regular physical activity such as bending, reaching, and lifting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
