A respected, long-standing manufacturing company in Northwestern Montana is looking for an experienced Office Manager to step into a stable, salaried, in-office role with real flexibility. This position is responsible for accounting oversight, payroll, reporting, and leading a small office team.

The company offers strong work-life balance with flexible scheduling (5/8’s preferred or 4/10’s) and a supportive leadership team. You’ll receive hands-on training as the current Office Manager transitions toward retirement after more than two decades with the company.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger activity, and check processing 
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy with overtime, state laws, payroll taxes, reporting and meeting ACH deadlines
  • Supervise and support 2–3 office team members handling receivables, scale operations, and payroll data entry
  • Prepare and compile monthly reporting, including sales, shipping, donations, and miscellaneous income 
  • Produce and maintain 15–20 recurring Excel-based reports following month-end close  
  • Coordinate closely with the accounting leadership team based in Kalispell
  • Manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
  • Strong general accounting knowledge, including AP, AR, general ledger, bank statements, and reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting
  • Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel  
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet firm deadlines under pressure
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals with varying personalities
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
