A leading provider of communication and response products, located in the beautiful Flathead Valley, Montana, is looking to temporarily fill a Technical Writer position. They are a dynamic and innovative company known for its unique contributions to their industry. This company stands at the forefront of technological advancement, ensuring reliable, robust, and customized communication systems for clients worldwide.

Starting immediately and running through mid-August, the Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining documentation to support training and professional development. This role involves producing clear, concise, and user-friendly materials such as manuals, guides, online help content, and training modules. The writer collaborates with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Now through mid-August – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Develop and update training manuals, user guides, instructional materials, online help content, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, e-learning modules, and interactive training content
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to develop and deliver effective training materials
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards
  • Organize and structure content logically, manage version control, and update documentation
  • Research industry trends, best practices, and analyze user feedback to enhance content effectiveness and implement continuous improvement
  • Manage documentation projects, timelines, deliverables, and ensure compliance with regulations, confidentiality, and data security

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in technical writing or instructional design
  • Experience in workforce development or employee training preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and content creation tools
  • Familiarity with CMS and version control systems
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating effective documentation and training materials
