The Project Engineer will be an integral team member responsible for managing project documentation, scheduling, and budgeting for each project. As the Project Engineer you will assist the Project Managers and/or Superintendents on all projects. The objective is to manage solution-based systems that improve overall efficiency, productivity and profitability of the Company.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Enforce quality control, clarify design intent, and address scope questions with subcontractors
  • Stay updated on building codes, construction methods, and industry trends
  • Support budget creation, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
  • Assist with project estimates, change orders, and cost tracking for budget adherence
  • Collaborate with trade partners to resolve coordination issues and ensure timely work delivery
  • Conduct field walks, track design and construction challenges, and recommend solutions
  • Review subcontractor invoices, assist in billing, and maintain project records
  • Draft and manage subcontracts, vendor agreements, and compliance documents
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, architects, consultants, and vendors
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners
  • Ensure safety signage is posted, track inspections, and support site safety protocols
  • Assist with design reviews, procurement of tools/materials, and project documentation
  • Communicate with all stakeholders and interpret plan sets accurately
  • Apply knowledge of commercial and residential construction processes and best practices

Qualifications:
  • A four-year university degree in a construction related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner
  • Ability to type and use keyboards accurately and have proficient use of PC, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Sketchup/CAD
  • Display strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills
  • Tactful and mature demeanor, including the ability to work well with diverse personalities
