A large local healthcare facility in Bozeman, MT, is looking for a Food and Nutrition Associate to add to their Nutritional Services department. This organization prioritizes the overall patient health and experience, nutritional services are a big aspect of that. 

This position functions as a patient ambassador assisting patients in selecting menu items based on their diet order and helps with patient tray assembly. In addition to ensuring diet compliance, the Menu Representative acts as the liaison between the patient, nursing, and Nutrition Services team. This role also serves as a clinical representative gathering and monitoring patient dietary information and proving documentation to clinical dietitians, speech pathology, nursing, and other disciplines as needed.

Essential Functions & Duties:
  • Visit patients to discuss their food preferences and completes daily menus
  • Prepare and serve drinks and food according to patient specifications
  • Record patient 'intakes' including nutrient-specific intakes
  • Communicate patient food requests, changes, and production volume to clinical disciplines, production staff, and Nutrition Services team
  • Organize and complete daily diet office duties including preparing meal tickets, verifying menus and diet modifications comply with diet order, and answering phones
  • Maintain and produce patient production volume projections and record department statistics
  • Participate in stocking and organizing food and supply within the department
  • Maintain, clean, and sanitize work stations

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
