Electrical Technician

A leading provider of communication and response products, located in the beautiful Flathead Valley, Montana, is looking for an Electrical Technician. They are a dynamic and innovative company known for its unique contributions to their industry. This company stands at the forefront of technological advancement, ensuring reliable, robust, and customized communication systems for clients worldwide.

This is a hands-on role responsible for safely applying electrical knowledge and skills to build projects that meet both customer and Nomad specifications. This position involves the installation, testing, and quality assurance of 12V and 120V systems within various projects. The Electrical Technician also plays a key role in evaluating and continuously improving Nomad’s electrical processes, while ensuring the consistent application of existing practices to maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Install, splice, and solder wiring for AC/DC systems and electronic equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues across vehicle systems and components
  • Run and route wiring, cables, and system controls
  • Cut, drill, and prepare openings for fixtures and equipment installation
  • Replace and upgrade electrical/electronic components as needed
  • Assist with custom builds and cross-trade work (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and more)

Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of 12VDC and 120VAC systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical theory
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical plans
  • Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair (1 to 5+ years)
  • Proficiency with tools, equipment, and basic math concepts used in electrical work
  • Understanding of design principles and precision technical documentation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
