Construction Estimator

One of the fastest growing builders in the area is seeking an Estimator. This builder offers a broad range of both design and build services, both residential and commercial.  Their dedication to designing and building distinctive and timeless projects is reflected in each and every project. For over fifteen years, this builder has completed some of the largest residential and commercial builds in the area.

This position is responsible for supporting construction projects through accurate estimating, procurement, and vendor coordination. The Project Estimator / Procurement Specialist will review project plans, develop cost estimates, manage purchasing activities, and work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Review blueprints, project plans, and requirements to develop accurate material, labor, and project cost estimates
  • Analyze bid data and prepare detailed cost analyses, estimates, and proposals for management and stakeholders
  • Develop, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, extensions, requests for proposals, and procurement documents
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and other project partners
  • Coordinate purchasing of materials, equipment, supplies, and furnishings with construction schedules and project needs
  • Track actual project costs and collaborate with construction management to support timely and cost-effective project completion

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in construction estimating, procurement, project coordination, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong understanding of material, labor, and project cost estimation principles
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, vendors, and procurement activities with accuracy
  • Proficiency with computers and estimating/procurement software, with strong attention to detail
