A high-end, custom home construction company in the Flathead Valley is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Foreman to join our award-winning team. We take pride in bringing Montana dream homes to life through exceptional craftsmanship, strong leadership, and collaboration with skilled local tradespeople.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled carpenter ready to step into a leadership position overseeing daily jobsite operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Foreman plays a key role in coordinating crews, managing workflow, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to exact specifications.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Lead and supervise daily jobsite operations and carpentry crews
  • Coordinate workflow, schedules, and material needs with Project Managers and subcontractors
  • Perform and oversee finish carpentry including siding, flooring, trim, and custom built-ins
  • Manage layout, measurements, and execution of framing, flooring, walls, and roof systems
  • Ensure projects meet architectural plans, specifications, and company quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and design documents to guide crew execution
  • Train and mentor carpenters and apprentices to maintain craftsmanship standards
  • Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions proactively with leadership

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years residential carpentry experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership, Lead Carpenter, or Foreman role preferred
  • Strong finish carpentry and framing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written specifications
  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite productivity
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
  • Must supply own tools
