The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and common areas throughout the hotel. Duties include making beds, changing linens and towels, vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, and replenishing guest toiletries. This position also provides friendly, professional service while ensuring housekeeping standards are consistently met.
Starting Wage: $20/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Use housekeeping equipment and maid carts while maintaining adequate supplies and inventory
- Remove garbage, used linens, and towels; make beds with fresh linens and restock guest amenities
- Identify and report maintenance issues to the Front Office for proper follow-up
- Follow all housekeeping procedures, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards
- Assist other departments as needed to provide excellent service and a positive guest experience
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely and effectively operate vacuums, mops, maid carts, and other housekeeping equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and efficiently while meeting productivity standards
- Dependable team player who welcomes feedback and contributes to a positive work environment
- Friendly, professional, and respectful demeanor with guests, coworkers, and vendors
- Ability to remain professional under pressure, take responsibility for actions, and follow through on commitments
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
