One of the fastest growing builders in the area is seeking a Procurement Specialist. This builder offers a broad range of both design and build services, both residential and commercial. Their dedication to designing and building distinctive and timeless projects is reflected in each and every project. For over fifteen years, this builder has completed some of the largest residential and commercial builds in the area.
This position is responsible for managing the purchasing and procurement needs of construction projects. The Procurement Specialist will coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to secure materials and equipment, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure materials are available when needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies from qualified vendors and suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national suppliers and subcontractors
- Review project plans and specifications to determine material needs and coordinate procurement with construction schedules
- Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements while negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Monitor supplier performance, material quality, lead times, and deliveries to help prevent project delays
- Maintain accurate procurement records and budgets while resolving delivery, invoicing, and material discrepancies and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with procurement or construction management software and Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, project sequencing, and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; residential or light commercial construction experience preferred
- Valid driver's license; degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
