The HR Director provides overall leadership and strategic oversight of the division’s Human Resources functions, ensuring effective administration in alignment with company policies and procedures. This role directs and evaluates HR staff while overseeing all HR programs and operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, compensation, benefits, and policy implementation.
This role is open to work in any of the following locations in Colorado: Buena Vista, Canon City, Colorado City, Craig, Denver, Durango, Florence, Grand Junction, Meeker, Oak Creek, Pagosa, Pueblo, Rangely, or Salida

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Lead and develop staff, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching, and providing guidance on promotions, compensation, and terminations
- Oversee recruiting, workforce planning, and staffing levels, ensuring efficient hiring, transfers, and retention strategies
- Manage employee relations, HR policies, compliance, and legal matters, including grievances, discipline, and benefits administration
- Administer payroll, compensation, and employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate processing and timely enrollment
- Drive training, development, and performance appraisal initiatives to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness
- Support HR strategy and organizational goals through policy development, strategic planning, employee engagement programs, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- 10+ years of HR experience with strong knowledge of employment laws, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and recruitment practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, supervisory, and project management abilities
- Committed to providing professional, high-quality internal and external customer service
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of consistent attendance
