The Production Technician supports the assembly, testing, and preparation of electronic control systems used for the company’s traffic safety and data collection equipment. This role is hands-on and essential in a small, fast-paced production lab environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and accountability are valued.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, label, test, and perform basic quality checks on production cables and electrical subassemblies
- Support retrofit projects by removing legacy controllers, installing updated hardware, and modifying existing wiring
- Assist with shipping and receiving components and finished assemblies
- Organize and maintain lab inventory, including kits, spare parts, and hardware
- Prepare and maintain build documentation, kits, and work orders
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and collaborate with technicians to resolve production issues
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in electronics or mechanical assembly
- Proficient with basic hand tools and familiar with soldering and wiring practices
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and wiring diagrams
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
- Experience with cable assembly standards, industrial or MIL-spec connectors, ERP/MRP systems, or material handling equipment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
