The Production Technician supports the assembly, testing, and preparation of electronic control systems used for the company’s traffic safety and data collection equipment. This role is hands-on and essential in a small, fast-paced production lab environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and accountability are valued.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, label, test, and perform basic quality checks on production cables and electrical subassemblies
  • Support retrofit projects by removing legacy controllers, installing updated hardware, and modifying existing wiring
  • Assist with shipping and receiving components and finished assemblies
  • Organize and maintain lab inventory, including kits, spare parts, and hardware
  • Prepare and maintain build documentation, kits, and work orders
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and collaborate with technicians to resolve production issues

Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in electronics or mechanical assembly
  • Proficient with basic hand tools and familiar with soldering and wiring practices
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and wiring diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
  • Experience with cable assembly standards, industrial or MIL-spec connectors, ERP/MRP systems, or material handling equipment preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
