A well-established food manufacturing company in Great Falls producing a variety of products distributed throughout the United States is seeking a Health, Safety & Training Manager. This facility works closely with regional agriculture and emphasizes quality, efficiency, and food safety in its operations. The Health, Safety & Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety and training programs that support employee wellbeing and regulatory compliance. This role oversees safety initiatives, monitors workplace risks, coordinates employee training, and ensures adherence to standards set by organizations such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Program Manager also investigates incidents, maintains safety documentation, and works closely with leadership to promote a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Oversee and manage the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program, including coordinating management meetings and providing updates on safety initiatives and requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate and deliver employee safety training, orientations, and ongoing learning programs while managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and required training assignments
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, document findings, and recommend preventive measures
  • Maintain safety records and compliance documentation, support emergency preparedness efforts, and collaborate with leadership to promote a strong culture of safety

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Prior experience in health and safety, with manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop, manage, and deliver workplace safety programs and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute
  • Professional safety certification (e.g., OSHA/EHS/CSP) required within one year of employment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
  • Driver’s License and clean driving record
