This role will support daily shop operations by producing high-quality parts and components for a variety of internal teams. Combining combines hands-on machine operation, basic fabrication, and careful inspection to ensure every part meets exact specifications. Ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning different shop tools, and contributing to a team-focused environment, this position offers steady, engaging work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Wage: $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Thursday,
10 hours a day 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 3 Day Weekends!

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Operate multiple shop tools and machines (like CNC router, laser, water jet, mill, lathe, forklift, and cranes) to make, modify, or repair parts
  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and instructions to plan machining steps and choose tools
  • Perform basic machining and assembly tasks using standard shop equipment and power tools
  • Inspect parts for accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools, and make adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Arrange and nest parts efficiently to reduce material waste
  • Set up machines for moderately complex jobs, using basic trigonometry to calculate angles when required

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Developed basic skills needed to perform daily tasks effectively
  • Able to solve common problems independently using established methods
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of their own work
  • Communicates clearly to exchange information with coworkers
  • High School Diploma or GED
