The CT Scan Technologist uses advanced, non-invasive imaging technology to capture detailed CT images that assist in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of a variety of medical conditions. They work as part of a supportive, collaborative team while developing valuable skills in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Perform accurate CT examinations in accordance with ACR standards, ALARA principles, and departmental protocols
  • Obtain and review patient history, assess exam appropriateness, and ensure proper preparation for imaging procedures
  • Administer venipuncture and maintain I-stat competencies, providing patient education and post-exam instructions
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure understanding, comfort, and safety throughout the imaging process
  • Maintain department safety, cleanliness, and inventory, reporting equipment malfunctions or safety concerns per protocol
  • Accurately document exams, review orders and prior imaging, and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Current Montana State Radiologic Technologist license (required by law) and ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (required)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification; CT certification by ARRT preferred or must be obtained within 18 months of hire
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office, and able to learn additional software as needed
