IT Operations Specialist

A well-known, renewable energy resource company in Bozeman, Montana, is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join their team. With a mission to improve both the communities we live in and the planet we depend on, this company is dedicated to advancing clean energy through the development, engineering, procurement, and construction of projects, focused on LED lighting, solar, and energy storage.

The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees and involves troubleshooting, account management, and software subscription management. The ideal candidate is a user-focused, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.

Competitive Pay: Up to $75,000/year, depending on experience

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support, addressing hardware, software, and network issues
  • Document and manage support requests, solutions, and follow-up actions
  • Configure and maintain user accounts, access permissions, and set up accounts for new hires
  • Assist with password resets, multi-factor authentication, and related troubleshooting
  • Prepare, deploy, and maintain IT hardware (computers, monitors, peripherals)
  • Manage IT hardware inventory, ensuring proper maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  • Manage software licenses, subscriptions, and asset records, including installation and updates
  • Generate reports on support metrics and software usage for management review
  • Identify process improvements to enhance IT support efficiency
  • Stay updated on the latest software, hardware, and IT support tools

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work 100% in office
  • Experience in an IT Helpdesk or technical support role
  • Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity best practices
  • Proficiency with Windows, MacOS, and common office software
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication skills and attention to detail
