A locally owned landscaping company serving the Flathead Valley, known for delivering high-quality, custom outdoor spaces, is seeking a Short Load Concrete Mixer Operator. With decades of combined experience, the team specializes in natural, one-of-a-kind landscape designs, including water features, hardscapes, and detailed planting projects. They take pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and creating outdoor environments that blend seamlessly with Montana’s natural surroundings.
This role involves assisting with concrete batch plant operations, delivering short loads using customer-rented trailers, and supporting the sale of bulk landscape materials such as gravel and topsoil. The ideal candidate has experience operating equipment, especially loaders, strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer-first mindset. This position requires the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality service.
Why You Want This Position:
- Wage: $30 to $35/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday + overtime

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Assist with daily operations of the concrete batch plant and short-load services
- Load trucks and customer trailers using loaders and other equipment
- Support sales and loading of bulk landscape materials such as gravel and soil
- Provide excellent customer service to contractors and homeowners
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
- Follow safety protocols while ensuring accurate material handling and efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating loaders and heavy equipment
- Prior experience with concrete batch plant operations is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, helpful attitude
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without close supervision
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality work
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on problem-solving skills preferred
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
