They’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of complex engineering projects from concept to completion. The position involves developing mechanical designs for a wide range of prototype, pre-commercial, and commercial products, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for demanding industrial applications. Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Manage assigned engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives
  • Define and document project requirements to support new product and process development, including technical investigations and problem resolution
  • Prepare detailed design specifications, engineering analyses, and technical recommendations for management review and decision-making
  • Design mechanical components and systems for a variety of prototype, pre-commercial, and commercial products within an advanced product development environment
  • Ensure product designs meet quality, performance, and manufacturability standards for demanding industrial applications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s preferred, from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience
  • Proven technical leadership in mechanical design, with a strong preference for experience in designing products for manufacturability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion, both independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Extensive experience in mechanical and machine design, including product development, prototyping, and design for manufacturing
  • Proficient in CAD and CAE tools, with strong SolidWorks skills and Finite Element Analysis experience (ANSYS preferred)
  • Capable of preparing and completing product designs with detailed technical documentation such as layouts and specifications
  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm for innovation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment
