Patient Relations Specialist

An outpatient physical therapy clinic in Kalispell is seeking a Patient Relations Specialist. They provide individualized rehabilitation focused on helping patients recover from injury, reduce pain, and restore full function. Working with a wide range of conditions from sports injuries to post-surgical recovery, the team develops personalized plans designed to get patients back to daily activities. Known for attentive care and strong outcomes, the clinic takes a performance-driven approach to helping individuals move better and stay active.

The Patient Relations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience. This position balances front-desk responsibilities with insurance coordination, payment collection, and collaboration across our clinical and support teams to ensure smooth, efficient care delivery.

Starting Wage: $18 to $20/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Greet patients in person and by phone, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment
  • Schedule appointments and manage follow-ups
  • Verify insurance coverage and explain benefits and patient responsibilities
  • Collect and process payments accurately
  • Maintain and update patient records and documentation
  • Support administrative tasks and front-desk process improvements

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
  • Experience in front-desk, reception, or healthcare administrative roles
  • Background in physical therapy, rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
  • Understanding of PT workflows, documentation, and patient care processes
  • Proficiency with scheduling or practice management software
  • Familiarity with insurance plans and terminology
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
