The Inpatient Dietitian provides essential nutritional assessment, planning, and support to patients receiving inpatient care. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition therapy. Essential Functions and Duties:
- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout their inpatient stay
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to support coordinated, high-quality patient outcomes
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and staff to promote understanding and support long-term health management
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices and advancements in clinical nutrition
- Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered work environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution
- Registered Dietitian (RDN) credentials (CDR-accredited)
- Montana licensure as a Nutritionist required (or must be obtained before hire date)
- Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for patient care
- Ability to pass pre-employment background, drug and health screenings
