The Excavation Laborer supports excavation projects by performing various physical tasks to assist equipment operators, project supervisors, and other team members. This position requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to perform manual labor in various outdoor conditions.
Starting Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-time
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Clear work areas of debris, rocks, and vegetation, and assist with set up and break down of job sites, including temporary fencing, barricades, and signage
- Assist in transporting equipment and materials to and from sites and load, unload, and move construction materials and tools as needed
- Operate small tools and equipment such as compactors, saws, or drills
- Assist in the installation of utility lines, drainage systems, or other excavation-related tasks
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous construction or excavation experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50lbs
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, occasional extended hours and weekends
