A trusted in-home care provider is seeking a Business Development Representative. This role is responsible for driving agency growth by developing and maintaining strong referral relationships within the community. Focusing on identifying new business opportunities, educating referral partners on home health care services, and positioning the agency as a trusted resource for quality in-home care. The Business Development Representative spends up to 50% of their time in the field building relationships that result in consistent, qualified referrals.
Starting Pay: $20 to $22/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, community partners, and targeted accounts to generate qualified referrals
- Spend approximately 50% of the workday in the field executing outreach strategies, attending community events, and representing the agency professionally (company vehicle provided for work travel)
- Educate referral sources and the community on home health and private duty services, referral processes, and agency value propositions
- Identify new market opportunities, stay current on industry and competitor trends, and support growth initiatives aligned with the marketing plan
- Accurately document sales and marketing activity using CRM or tracking systems, and manage accounts to measure performance and ROI
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth referral handoffs, effective communication, adherence to policies, and consistent professionalism
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in business development, sales, healthcare marketing, or home health care preferred
- Strong relationship-building, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills, with comfort in in-person outreach and networking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM or scheduling systems, and basic digital marketing tools (social media, email, SEO, PPC)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and ability to travel locally/regionally
- Physically able to meet job demands, including lifting up to 25 lbs and mobility throughout the workday
- Ability to pass background, driving record and drug screenings
