This position is responsible for preparing and performing professional painting work on aircrafts, components, ground support equipment (GSE), and other related equipment. This role includes surface preparation, masking, sanding, and applying coatings while following safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to meet production timelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Perform professional painting tasks including surface preparation, masking, stripping, sanding, and finishing based on material requirements
  • Plan and organize work to meet contract and company timelines with minimal supervision
  • Maintain routine inventory control and ensure adequate supply of materials
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Adapt to flexible or adjusted work schedules as needed to support aircraft maintenance timelines
  • Apply proper painting techniques in a variety of environmental conditions that may impact paint processes

Qualifications:
  • Previous industrial painting and fiberglass repair experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; painting or contractor-related certificate/degree preferred
  • Knowledge of paint types and proper preparation of metals and other materials
  • Ability to operate within FAA and company guidelines and follow established procedures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and business contacts
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions
  • Ability to pass background screenings
