This position is responsible for operating excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment on a variety of commercial and residential civil construction projects. Working alongside project superintendents and field crews, the operator will help complete excavation, grading, and site development work while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality. Whether building foundational skills or bringing years of experience to the role, operators will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Why You Want This Position:
- Starting Pay: $35+/hour, depending on experience
- Company-paid lodging and travel expenses and $65/day per diem while traveling
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Some travel is required for projects throughout Montana and surrounding areas

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Operate excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, utility installation, and earthmoving work
- Read grade stakes and follow project plans to ensure accurate project completion
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations while maintaining a clean work area
- Collaborate with the crew to meet project deadlines and assist with general labor as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience operating excavators and/or dozers is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically job duties
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
