This Paving Superintendent oversees all aspects of paving projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong field experience, technical paving expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all paving operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet production and quality goals
- Supervise and mentor team members, enforcing best practices and safety protocols
- Conduct site inspections, address deficiencies, and ensure work meets project specifications and client expectations
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers on schedules, resources, and project objectives
- Maintain daily reports, monitor costs, and proactively resolve field challenges to minimize delays
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role, preferably in paving or heavy civil construction
- Proven experience overseeing paving operations, including asphalt or concrete placement, grading, and site preparation
- Background in commercial, municipal, or large-scale roadway projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents related to paving projects
- Experience coordinating field operations, managing crews, subcontractors, and equipment efficiently
- Estimating or preconstruction experience, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation, preferred
