A state-of-the-art vision care center in Kalispell, Montana, is hiring an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant. This busy office is a full-service optical and ophthalmologic surgery center, providing the community with comprehensive eye care and an individualized touch. They strive to provide the highest level of medical care in a thoughtful and personal way.
As an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant, you will work directly with patients and our Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. In this position you will gather information and perform a series of tests on the patient to prepare them to see the doctor.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Coordinate patient scheduling and front office duties
- Review of the patient’s past and present history, current medications and reason for their visit
- Check vision, pupil reactions, and identify any abnormalities
- Instill eye drops
- Use microscopes to examine the eyes and check intraocular pressures
- Perform diagnostic tests
Preferred Qualifications (Training Provided):
- Previous Optometry/Medical experience
- Customer service skills with real compassion for patients
- Desire to work in a fast-paced service industry
- Driven to further education in ophthalmology
- Quick-learner to anticipate and prepare for the day’s needs
