A well-established commercial truck dealership and service center is seeking a skilled Service Advisor / Writer to join its professional, customer-focused team. This organization is known for providing reliable service, quality repairs, and dependable support to drivers, fleets, and regional transportation partners.


This temporary position provides short-term coverage during a medical leave and offers a great opportunity for someone looking to earn some extra cash heading into the holiday season. The Service Advisor plays an essential role in supporting customers and ensuring a smooth, positive service experience by working closely with both customers and technicians to understand concerns, coordinate repairs, and help keep vehicles operating reliably. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a desire to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Duties: 
  • Assist customers in person and by phone, following service processes and standards
  • Manage the full-service transaction, from scheduling appointments to final invoicing and payment
  • Coordinate technician schedules, monitor repair progress, and support overall workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate with the parts department to gather information and prepare accurate repair estimates
  • Work with outside vendors to arrange and manage required sublet repairs
  • Support warranty processing by gathering documentation and working with the warranty team to maximize recovery

Qualifications: 
  • Service Writing experience preferred
  • Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Excede OS) 
  • Excellent communication and time management skills 
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to think outside of the box
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills including excellent customer service and phone skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
