Essential Functions


  • Develop the supply chain strategy for the organization
  • Develop analytics, systems, and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports
  • Manage corporate regulatory compliance to NAFTA and product origin statements
  • Identify and manage supplier risk within the supply chain by addressing tactical and strategic supply chain issues
  • Champion the DCC plc Supply Chain Risk Assessment Process
  • Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology and approaches and apply within the organization to improve supply chain processes
  • Support and/or lead implementation of all MRP/ERP system changes
  • Practice Learn-Do-Teach, lead by example, and ensure a safe and efficient workplace is provided at all times
  • Maintains effective communications between Management and other peer Managers and escalates issues related productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and engagement appropriately
  • Leads and sustains root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, investigations, and Kaizen events for key chronic losses and nonconformance events
  • In collaboration with the production and accounting functions, support all manufacturing order closing activities in ERP while providing feedback and follow-up on all triggered order variances
  • Contribute to the development of products and services in collaboration with the Product Engineering team
  • Perform project management duties with regards to supply chain related initiatives
  • Manage the disposition of cyclic overdue inventory items by collaborating with Quality, Customer Service, Finance, and/or with a 3rd party material exchange service
  • Understand and service the needs of customers; maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer’s key personnel relevant to or directly involved in supply chain activities
  • Provides feedback to budget requirements for multiple cost centers during the fiscal year budgeting cycle
  • Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology and approaches and apply within the organization to improve supply chain processes
  • Act as backup for Director of Operations, Supply Chain Analyst, Master Scheduler, Warehousing Management and Procurement Specialist functions


  • In collaboration with Human Resources, direct the hiring of resources necessary to maintain and improve department operations
  • Possess the ability to lead and motivate – help people succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles, performance management, management by objectives (MBO), and cultivating a collaborative culture for high performing teams (HPT)
  • Undertake performance management responsibility for team members, conducting appraisals and giving direction to extract discretionary effort
  • Manage time and attendance within company procedures
  • Responsible for implementation and execution of associate onboarding and sustainable training programs
  • Through collaboration with the training and skills development (T&SD) function, identify, develop, and execute strategies to close skills gaps via utilization and maintenance of Skills Matrices and the Pay for Skill (PFS) program to continuously improve associate engagement, skill level, and workforce flexibility
  • Train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of supply chain staff through robust development and business objectives
  • Direct, coordinate, assign, monitor and review the work of individuals engaged in supply chain related duties
  • Maintain robust personal development plans for all associates in the organization
  • Collaborate with staff, other departments, senior management, and decision makers to share information, problem solve, and clarify management objectives
  • Drive a strong safety and continuous improvement culture through associate empowerment


  • Oversee organization wide management of the strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of vendors and services
  • Cultivate and manage vendor relationships
  • Manage and / or execute procurement related functions (e.g., develop and implement contract management and procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, draft and manage contracts, etc.)
  • Oversee the return of non-conforming purchased items
  • Lead the purchasing function in development of RFQs, vendor scorecards, and cost savings initiatives
  • Drive operational cost excellence via utilization of EOQ, Newsvendor Modeling, and Velocity Analysis

Receiving, Inventory & Warehousing:

  • Oversee organization-wide management of multiple warehouses and inventory at company owned, vendor and contract sites
  • Direct and manage compliance to incoming inspection protocols
  • Implement and adhere to transaction management best practices
  • Manage the reverse logistics, restocking and / or disposition of items returned from customers
  • Optimize material flow and warehouse utilization via Value Stream Mapping and other lean principles
  • Develop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control and other optimizations to grow the business
  • Lead warehouse function in development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain receiving schedule for raw materials based on the quarterly sales forecast to balance work in the receiving function

Order Picking & Logistics:

  • Direct and manage the operations and budget of the Shipping Department for multiple facilities
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with common carriers and the 3PL to support required transportation requirements for material deliveries, inter warehouse transfers and outbound customer shipments



  • Minimum:
    1. Bachelor of Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  • Preferred:
    1. Master’s in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  • Achievement of the following designations are also desirable:
    1. Certified Purchasing Professional
    2. Certified Supply Chain Professional
    3. Certified in Production and Inventory Management

Related Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum:
    1. Minimum 10 years Supply Chain Management experience in a manufacturing setting, including team leadership, product costing, contract negotiation and international purchasing, 3rd Party Logistics, and warehousing
    2. Must be educated in the concepts of TOC, JIT, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma
    3. MRP/ERP implementation experience
    4. Multi-site warehouse management including 3rd party warehousing
  • Preferred:
    1. Experience with AGVs
    2. Experience with RFID technology


  • Minimum:
    1. Demonstrated experience in leading change and situational leadership
    2. Demonstrated experience in developing and sustaining high performing teams.
    3. Clear ability to relate to and motivate people and effectively train
    4. Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    5. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
    6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
    7. Proficient in MS Office and MRP/ERP software
    8. Experience writing, revising, and implementing SOPs
    9. Proficient in MS Office applications

Physical Environment

Working Conditions in the Office Setting (85%):

  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment
  • Factory Attire

Working Conditions on the Production Floor (15%):

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced light manufacturing environment
  • PPE requirements: safety glasses, respiratory protection, company supplied lab coats, and gloves
  • GMP gowning requirements: Hair net, beard guard (if applicable), shoe covers, and sweatbands as required

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 30 pounds
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time

Regulatory Specific:

  • Strict adherence to Company and OSHA safety requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Compliance, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory standards
  • Monday to Friday, with some weekend time.
